The 2025 red carpet season is officially upon us, and that means it’s time to talk about glam. The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards took place on Sunday, January 5, at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, and Hollywood’s biggest names served hair and face. The makeup was both bold and breathtaking, complemented by tresses dreams are made of.
Emma Stone turned heads when she debuted a dramatic chop, which paired perfectly with her bespoke Louis Vuitton gown. Celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham was the brains behind the major makeover, which she dubbed a “nutmeg pixie.” Cunningham told StyleCaster the cut was inspired by Mia Farrow and the color is a “smidge darker than Emma’s usual color.” After applying a gloss for “20 minutes,” Cunningham treated Stone’s mane with Olaplex products, including the No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No. 5 Maintenance Conditioner.
Zendaya also paired her Louis Vuitton gown with big hair energy. Celebrity hairstylist Coree Moreno partnered with Nexxus to transform the Dune star into an Old Hollywood icon, using hard rollers and lots of mousse. Selena Gomez, meanwhile, went the retro route too. Her sculptural curls were brought to life by celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora, who used ghd tools like the Natural Bristle Round Brush, the Helios Hair Dryer, and the Curve Classic Curl Iron.
Gomez looked like Cinderella herself as her artful strands were paired with a silky blue Prada gown. The floor-length design featured off-the-shoulders straps and a statuesque silhouette.

Zendaya
Image Credit: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic Zendaya showed off new bling (in the form of an engagement ring) and a new ‘do at the 2025 ceremony, channeling Old Hollywood glamour with retro curls.
To create the look, celebrity hairstylist Coree Moreno first sprayed Nexxus Epic Shine Anti Humidity Spray “to set the foundation of the look” before following up with Nexxus Volume Medium Hold Mousse “from root to tip on damp hair for added volume. Afterward, he used an “old school roller set for mega volume” before drying Zendaya’s mane under a hooded dryer. After letting the hair get 90 percent dry, he removed the rollers but kept Zendaya’s strands pin curled. He then used the ghd Helios Professional Hair Dryer with the ghd Professional Diffuser “on the coldest temperature to lock in the shine.” Next, Moreno used the ghd Curve Classic Curl Iron to remove roller dents. To add fullness, Moreno added in BELLAMI Hair’s Silk Seam Clip-In Extensions in the colors Chestnut Brown and Chocolate Brown. To lock the curls in place, he finished with Nexxus Comb Thru Flexible Hold Hair Spray.

Emma Stone
Image Credit: Taylor Hill/FilmMagic Stone worked with not one but two glam pros to get her perfect pixie. Her longtime colorist, Tracey Cunningham, gave her a “nutmeg” makeover, which she said is a “smidge” darker than Stone’s “usual color.” She then gave her color-treated strands some love with Olaplex’s No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo, No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and No. 6 Bond Smoother. Mara Roszak took it from there, trimming and shaping Stone’s pixie to make it a bit softer. She then went in with the new L’Oreal Airlight Pro to “set the direction for the hair to lay.” Afterward, she added “definition” and “hold” with a pea-sized amount of her own ROZ Haircare Evergreen Style Cream to style.

Selena Gomez
Image Credit: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic Gomez channeled Cinderella with her blue Prada dress and her sculptural hair, which was brought to life by Renato Campora. To get the look, he started by sectioning Gomez’s hair into 2-inch parts to blow dry with ghd’s Natural Bristle Round Brush and ghd’s Helios Hair Dryer—which was also used on Zendaya. Campora blow dried the front left section upwards and backwards then upwards and forward. Next, he divided Gomez’s hair into 2-inch horizontal sections and curled the bottom with ghd’s Curve Classic Curl Iron. He used ghd’s Curve Soft Curl Iron on the top. “Two different size irons allows the top section to lay beautifully on the tighter bottom waves,” he explained. After letting Gomez’s hair cool for 15 minutes, he brushed it through with ghd’s Dresser Oval Dressing Brush for a “smooth, voluminous finish.”

Nicole Kidman
Image Credit: Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images There’s nothing more fun and flirty than a high ponytail. The look was perfect for Kidman considering she received a Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama nomination for her role in Babygirl, in which she portrays Romy, a high-powered CEO who has a torrid affair with an intern (Harris Dickinson). Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel worked his magic on Kidman’s mane, adding in BELLAMI’s Silk Seam Clip-ins in the shade Golden Hour Blonde to create the big bouncy look. “We drew inspiration from the iconic styles of the 1960s and 1970s, with a nod to the Studio 54 era,” Adir said. Before adding in the extensions, he prepped Kidman’s strands with Virtue’s new Scalp Remedy Shampoo, Scalp Remedy Conditioner, Volumizing Primer, and Damage Reverse Serum. Once prep was complete, Adir began the styling process using the Denman Brush and Kristin Ess Soft Volume Blow Dry Brush. Afterward, he pulled the hair into a tight high ponytail and added in the extensions. Adir created curls with the Kristin Ess Titanium Curling Iron and applied Virtue’s Healing Oil to give the look “red carpet-worthy shine.”

She then blow dried the actress’ locks using the Paul Mitchell Neuro+ Hair Dryer and straightened her tresses with the Smooth+ Ceramic Flatiron. Next, Nelms used the label’s Super Skinny Serum to tame frizz and add shine. Once her hair was in the knot, Nelms finished with the Paul Mitchell Classic Freeze and Shine Super Spray. The pulled-back look allowed Kravitz’s bespoke Saint Laurent gown to be the main character.

Cynthia Erivo
Image Credit: Matt Winkelmeyer/WireImage When it comes to Erivo, we can count on her to give us two things: fashion and a bomb manicure. As she sparkled in her custom Louis Vuitton gown on the red carpet, her nails did too. It took five hours for Erivo’s go-to nail tech, Los Angeles-based pro Mycah Dior, to create a set of tantalizing talons that featured multiple colors, texture, and 3D appliques. Underneath the dazzling stones on her coffin-shaped acrylics, Dior created a “quartz marble design” using two coats of OPI‘s Reoccurin’ Gleam (a new 2025 shade) before going in with a matte topcoat and white ink pigment, which she dispersed across the nail, creating diagonal and imperfect lines all over. Next, Dior used acetone to spread the ink with a thick nail brush to create “gemstone veins.” Dior repeated this step a few times before adding in OPI’s Princesses Rule and Miami Beet to “different parts of the nail.” Afterward, she added OPI’s Alpine Snow with a thin liner brush for “deeper dimension and depth.” She also used OPI’s Kyoto Pearl, Rated Pea-G, and Fiyero’s My Mani.

Cuoco looked angelic in a snowy white Chanel gown, which came from the fashion house’s fall/winter 2001 collection. She paired this with a shaggy but chic updo and a soft beat. Celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg gave Cuoco a fresh-faced glow using Fig. 1 products. She started with the brand’s Micellar Oil Cleanser and then went in with the Hydrating & Balancing Toner. To brighten Cuoco’s under eyes, she used the Vitamin C Eye Cream. Greenberg finished the prep with the Ceramide Moisturizer.
