It’s no secret that bangs are having a huge moment right now. Stars like Zendaya and Sabrina Carpenter have only solidified our obsession, and we’re constantly looking for new ways to reinvent the classic blunt bang. Although there’s tons of haircut options popping up everyday, bunny bangs are the newest trend we’re taking note of. Not only are bunny bangs another iteration of the bang trend we already love, they’re also proving how important it is to have a good inspiration pic for your hairdresser to go off of.

I know what it’s like to search Pinterest high and low for that perfect haircut inspiration pic and still not find exactly what I’m looking for. While most people settle on a picture of their favorite celebrity, Lauren found a bunny meme that was a perfect match for the haircut she wanted. Luckily, her hairdresser totally saw the vision and gave her the exact bangs the bunny had in the photo. Even though you might be a little nervous to show your hairdresser a photo of a bunny (or any other animal for that matter), bunny bangs are cute and chic—making them the blueprint for bangs in 2025.

What Are Bunny Bangs?

As silly as bunny bangs sound, they’re actually pretty simple. Basically, bunny bangs are thick blunt bangs with face framing pieces. They’re wide enough to cover most of the forehead and barely graze the eyebrows in length. As for styling, bunny bangs don’t require a ton, but they can be straightened as needed so they sit nicely on the forehead.

If you want bunny bangs and aren’t sure what to ask your hairdresser for, here’s what you’re looking for. Firstly, Jacob Khan started off by making the bangs wider with a flat blade and a horizontal cut. Next, he made the corner bang pieces longer to frame the face. He then adds accent pieces that drop off right below the chin—just like the bunny’s. Finally, he finishes it off with a dry texturing spray to act as a dry shampoo and lock the bangs in.
