Taylor Swift plays by her own *fashion* rules. The hitmaker broke an (unspoken) red carpet rule at the 2025 Grammy Awards by wearing a dazzling mini dress instead of a traditional gown. Swift graced the Sunday, February 2, event in Los Angeles in the figure-flattering design from Vivienne Westwood, which featured a cowl neck corset, a gathered skirt, and a bright red hue. Reporters on the grounds dubbed the color “Chiefs red,” calling Swift a high fashion cheerleader for boyfriend Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City NFL team.

Swift kept the red theme going, styling the frock with shimmery sandal heels, rosy earrings, crimson nails, and her signature ruby lip. Perhaps the most standout aspect of the look—aside from the short hem—was the “T” accessory seen at her thigh. Dangling from the lining of her dress was a body gem that featured the letter, which could be a nod to Kelce or herself.

At tonight’s ceremony, Swift is up for six Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for The Tortured Poets Department. She’s also up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video for “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone. During the 2024 ceremony, where she won Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights, Swift announced TTPD, her 11th studio album—leaving fans wondering if she’ll make a big reveal tonight.

Swift is known to drop Easter eggs, and her dress may be a reference to her Reputation era, and she’s yet to release Reputation (Taylor’s Version) yet. If you didn’t know, Swift has been releasing re-recorded projects following her departure from Big Machine records in 2018. The company sold the masters of her early music to Scooter Braun, so re-recording the songs allows her to regain ownership.
