Emma Stone Debuts Pixie Cut at 2025 Golden Globes
Emma Stone kicked off the new year and awards season with a big chop. The actress unveiled a pixie cut at the 82nd annual Golden Globes, a drastic switch up from her usual shoulder-length locks. She showed off the major makeover—which is believed to be her role in a film called Bugonia—on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Sunday, January 5.
The ‘do, which came in a warm reddish-brown hue, featured perfectly tapered layers that framed her face. Stone complemented the transformation with a bespoke red gown from Louis Vuitton. The floor-length number featured a strapless, bow-adorned bodice and a protruding waist that fell into an A-line skirt. She allowed her hair to be the focal point of the look, opting for minimal accessories and soft glam. Her lashes were delicate, her brows were softly arched, her cheeks were a tad rosy, and her lips were topped off with peachy gloss.

There’s been chatter surrounding Emma’s hair since October 2024 when she was spotted wearing a wig at an event in New York City. “I’m so intrigued by why Emma Stone is wearing a wig at NYFF,” a fan wrote via X alongside a video of the actress. Other social media users were quick to say Bugonia is the reason for the new look. The project follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a high-powered CEO of a major company, per IMDb.

At this year’s Golden Globes, Stone is not up for any awards—though she racked up nominations at the 2024 ceremony. She took home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy for her role in Poor Things. Stone won in the same category for Poor Things at the 2024 Oscars.
